About

Greetings and salutations (re: Demolition Man)

I’m an IT enthusiast that got my start on a technical helpdesk over twenty years ago with my CompTIA A+/Network+ certifications and a high school diploma. Since then my passion for technology has only grown, both academically and professionally. I credit this drive to my father, who got me started on a dos terminal at a young age (think 5 1/4 floppies), which fueled a fire within me that exists to this day. While I didn’t know it at the time, all the while we were navigating the DOS prompts to play Castle, Q*bert, and BattleChess, he was teaching me skillsets that would last a lifetime.

Today I hold multiple Microsoft certifications, such as the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist in Access AND Vista thank you very much (Who remembers those?). I also have my CISSP, Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Azure Cybersecurity Architect expert certs.. Along with a bunch of others from Microsoft, Dell, and VMware.

From an academic standpoint, I hold two graduate degrees, one in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance from Pennsylvania State University (Master of Professional Studies), and another in Cybersecurity Policy & Risk Management from the University of New Hampshire (Master of Science). I’m proud of those achievements and I’m the first in my family to achieve that.

I currently work within IT Risk & Security as a Cybersecurity Engineering Manager, with past lives being heavily involved in Systems, Network, and Infrastructure Engineering. Cybersecurity, information security, data privacy are all very interesting to me, and my background in engineering only fuels my passion forward.
